Who is Alliance SwissPass?

Public transport in Switzerland leads the world. The Alliance SwissPass, as a public transport sector organization and association of 250 transport companies and 18 tariff associations, is committed throughout Switzerland to harmonized, comprehensible and economical tariff regulations, modern and attractive sales solutions, and customer-oriented product ranges and information systems.

One of Alliance SwissPass's tasks is to distribute the income from travel passes (GA travelcards, Swiss Travel Passes, etc.) to the participating transport companies, in accordance with its legal mandate. You can find out more about us at: \nallianceswisspass.ch.

What is the basis and purpose of the survey?

The Swiss law governing the carriage of passengers authorises Alliance SwissPass to collect journey data to ensure that the income from ticket sales is distributed fairly.
Your GA travelcard lets you use the entire Swiss public transport network. For the purposes of this survey, we would like to know what journeys you have made using your GA travelcard. Your answers will help us to distribute the income from GA travelcard revenue among the participating transport companies. Thank you for your help.

Data privacy

Alliance SwissPass takes compliance with the relevant data protection regulations extremely seriously. Your travel information will be collected and evaluated anonymously. It will be consolidated into general, non-personal data that show us how the GA travelcard is being used. We need your contact data in connection with the competition to enable us to deliver your prize if you win.

Are the trip details analysed anonymously?

Yes. Your travel data will be processed without reference to your name. The data is consolidated into general, impersonal information about the usage of the ticket. We need your contact data in connection with the competition to enable us to deliver your prize if you win.

Terms and Conditions

The prize draw will take place in private without the presence of the public. The draw will not be supervised by a notary. The winners will be notified directly by email. Recipients are responsible for providing their email addresses correctly. No liability will be accepted for any incorrect payments that may be made as a result. The monthly prizes are drawn monthly. The main prize will be drawn in June after data processing has been completed. No correspondence about the prize draw will be entered into. The organisers' decision is final. By taking part in the competition you accept the Terms and Conditions of the competition. The German text of the participation conditions prevails.

What can I win?

Every month we give away 10 public transport vouchers worth CHF 50 each.

Once a year, a 1st class GA travelcard or a voucher of the same value will be raffled off as the main prize.

Is participation obligatory?

No, but in providing us with your travel details, you are making a valuable contribution to Swiss public transport by helping us to distribute the income from travel passes among the transport companies.

Where did you get my email address?

According to the Swiss law governing the carriage of passengers (PBG), Alliance SwissPass has a legal mandate to collect travel data to assist with the correct distribution of income. Your contact details were passed to us within this context.

I do not wish to receive any more email invitations. How can I unsubscribe?

You can unsubscribe directly in the email you received.

Should I enter the journeys I made on all the days I travelled?

Yes, absolutely. Please enter ALL the journeys on ALL the days on which you travel using your GA travelcard. This is the only way we can obtain a conclusive picture of your travel history.

How can I continue to record journeys after the first day of travel?

You can leave the online tool and stop recording data by clicking on "Logout". The journeys you have recorded until then will be stored. Have you made any further journeys since then? In that case, just log in again with your personal direct link or participation code and complete your travel journal.

How can I record round trips (cruises, mountain pass tours, etc.)?

Select the starting stop of the round trip as the starting location. For the destination you can enter "Cruise" or "Mountain Pass Tour".
